As is the case more often than not these days, this entry is mostly just some fun pictures. Since it's been a bit nice the last few days, we have been able to get back outside for our nightly walk/wagon ride/bike ride/scooter ride/shoulder ride/skateboard ride/rollerskate ride, which generally involves a trip to the park. I'm still trying to figure out the tie between a big magic bunny that brings candy, and decorating eggs in a variety of colors, but even if it doesn't quite make sense, I like every bit of it. Last weekend we saw Hop, and while it was good, it still left me without a full grasp on the Easter Bunny. Oh well - I still love all bunnies, whether they are real, magic, chocolate, or toasted marshmallow.

Maybe I'll just put my hand in the pink bowl...

Tonight was a bit of a test run, and mommy says that we are going to decorate more eggs later, but I think they came out pretty good. I'm not sure if you've ever tried dipping an egg in blue, then pink, then yellow, then blue, then green, then licking it, then blue, but it comes out pretty awesome! We'll to try to share pictures of the next batch too. Until then....

Callie says:

At some point in time, Michael Jordan was given his first basketball, Wayne Gretzky tried on his first pair of skates, and some weird Russian kid was probably given his first Chess set. If you listened to my brother Cohen, you'd get quickly get the impression that he would add April 12, 2011 into that conversation as the first time he played semi-competitive soccer. I hardly think you'll see him in Europe anytime soon, but I suppose he did pretty good for his first time out.

All joking aside, tonight was pretty fun for Cohen, and it was definitely fun to watch him. He started playing in the 3-5 year old soccer league, and even though he's only 3, he was close to as big as anyone out there, and definitely the cutest.

Tonight was less of a competitive game, and more of a practice / skills competition. There were 3 teams on the field going thru different drills. We caught one of them on video below. Check it out!

After practice was over, I had a chance to get out and kick the ball around a bit. I tried to wait until the older kids left so that they didn't feel bad when they saw my magic. Maybe I can get a waiver to play early. I'm pretty sure I can hold my own.

Sounds like Cohen will be playing at 4:30 the next few Tuesdays, so if you wanna come watch with us, let mommy and daddy know!

I love swimming. I swim in the bathtub, I swim in the snow, and I REALLY love swimming in a pool. The other night, Mimi and Papa had a pseudo-staycation at a local Casino & Hotel (the hotel will have to pay me if they want this advertising), and of course that meant an evening of swimming for the Grandkids!

I'm still trying to convince Daddy that we should dig out our backyard and fill the hole with water. That's all you need for a pool, right? I dunno - he's being pretty disagreeable about it but we'll see. I don't know how he can resist when he sees how much fun Callie, Emma, Eden and I have when you get us near water. Callie hasn't quite learned how to jump in yet, but the 3 of us are trying to show her. Soon!
