Big Girls Don't Crawl

Cohen says:

To change it up a bit, I figured I'd post a couple of videos to alter the feel of this blog. The first video is from a couple weeks ago, and shows how well I'm teaching Callie to walk. The second video is from earlier tonight when we shared an ice cream cone.

Enjoy!

Playing in the River

Callie says:

I was playing around on my personal computer this afternoon, and realized I had started to put together this quick blog from our adventures in a nearby river a couple weekends ago, but never actually posted it. So...here ya go!

With August nearly upon us, it's time to set my New Month's Resolution, which is to BE BETTER ABOUT POSTING! Stuff is just always a blur in our household, but I know it's a valuable commodity, so Cohen and I will do our best!

RIP Sharkbait

Cohen says:

It's with a sad heart that I tell you that Sharkbait Oh Ah Ah is no longer with us. He was a true friend, and lived a long life despite the numerous foreign objects that founx their way into his bowl.

Some parents trick their kids and pretend it never happened, but I know that Sharkbait went bye bye, and when asked, will share memories clear back to the day we brought him home in a plastic bag.

He was a good friend.

Happy 4th of July

Cohen says:

While I have many pictures and stories of adventures from our long weekend, none say it better than this one!

More to come.

Happy Birthday Mommy and Grammy!

Callie says:

What are the odds? My mommy turns the young age of 30 on the very same day that my Grammy turns the extra young age of 50!

Happy Birthday to both of you! I was so excited that I woke up promptly at 6 this morning to begon celebrating, and figured you'd appreciate a picture of Hawaii since I didn't save enough pennies to TAKE us there. Also, Cohen is a bit more experienced at these things so he slept in and sent this pre-recorded video.

Hope you both have the bestest birthdays ever!

Xoxoxo!

My Brother and the Sprinkler

Callie says:

Just a quick picture I took of Cohen playing in the sprinkler this afternoon.  I know there has been more pictures of him than me lately, but I just had to put this one out here since the crazy kid thinks that as soon as we hit 68 degrees, he needs to play in some water!

We'll have some pictures of the CUTER sibling soon.  Just kidding Cohen!....mostly...

I give it Four Buzzes!

Cohen says:
As promised, a review of Toy Story 3.
Venue: Imax in 3D at Thornton Place 14 at Northgate.
Time: Friday at 7:30 on opening weekend.
Candy: Twizzlers, Skittles, and some popcorn (I know, not actually candy)

Quiz: 3D movie or 80's party?

Now, I have to preface this review by saying that I've seen Toy Story (1995) and Toy Story 2 (2001) a combined 150 to 1200 times.

Mom - that was AWESOME!

On second thought, I probably shouldn't give anything from the movie away so I will just say this: it was EPIC and did a great job of tying together a lot of loose ends (unlike the LOST series finale a few weeks ago). It was funny, it was touching, and as always, Buzz Lightyear was awesome!

Doesn't everyone take action figures to the movies?

For those that are wondering, yes I did have to wear those silly 3D glasses and I did keep them on most of the time. Also, I apparently was very well behaved for my first movie as a two year old, probably because I got to take buzz and woody with me.

I definitely recommend seeing this movie on the big TV screen that adults call the movie theatre.

Even Buzz Lightyear has to brush before bed!
