Sunday at the Zoo

A Jaguar (the animal, not the automobile)

So sophisticated, even with the drool..

The kid has a thing for fancy glasses..

DAD! There's SO many animals!

Cohen says:

Who went to the zoo today? That's right, I did! We found this quaint little zoo in Seattle - I don't think many people know about it. Its called Woodland Park Zoo and its awesome! I definitely recommend it.

It was kind of a spur of the moment decision but totally worth it. I saw tons and tons (literally, by weight) of neato animals (or aminals) and when asked about it, I'll definitely tell you that my favorites were the graffffs (giraffes), ephants (elephants) and MONKEEEEEEYYYS (it's obvious, right?)!

In even better news, old cheapskate daddio FINALLY invested in a Zoo membership, so I know we'll be going lots more.  If anyone wants to go see the aminals with us, just let us know.  We can get ya in for half-price now, cause we're members. It's just like Costco!

How's everybody doing this weekend? Good? Good!

Just a quick update and picture of mommy and Cohen as we trek around Greenlake. Gotta get some Vitamin D, right?

Hot Tub Squirt Gun

Callie says:

Just a silly picture of Cohen and Auntie Maeggie from yesterday to pass along. They got to have lots of fun but I didn't get to go because according to my over protective parents, I'm just a baby. Whatever!

Also, I'm gonna work on a new feature that will send automatic emails anytime a new Blog is published. If you wanna be included, just send us a note at:

The Last Two Weeks in Pictures

Callie says:

Glorious Sunday morning to ya!  We are just getting ready to head out, but I have a few minutes while mommy is preparing herself for the day and Daddy and Cohen are watching the Masters, so I thought I'd upload some pictures, mostly from a couple of park trips over the last few weekends.  More to come later. Enjoy!

House Hunters

Cohen says:

Mommy and Daddy didn't want me to say anything just yet for fear of jinxing something, but I'm pretty excited and wanted to share an update for those that are curious:  After many many house viewings, 3 offers, 2 inspections, and lot's of ups and downs, we are now one step closer to buying our first family home (thanks mostly to my allowance of course).

We had a home inspection yesterday and all went well, so hopefully we won't run into anymore issues and get to move in a few weeks.  I like where we live now, but I have to say that I'm ready to get away from the yearly move cycle that we're on now - plus my backyard looks pretty sweet.  Anyways, just an update.

The Bunny Ate Our Chocolate!

Just trying to put on some bunny ears...

Best buddies!

Did ya hear the one about the duck that crossed the road?

Cohen says:

Happy Week After Easter!  I know it's a few days late, but Callie and I wanted to share a few pictures that chronicle our Easter weekend.  As you'll be able to tell, we hunted lots of Eggs, had lots of fun, and ate LOTS of chocolate! It was hop-tastic!

Daddy's princess trying on her dress

Hold my basket - I need some candy!

I got my jacket on - let's go see that BUNNY!

Why do bunny's need spectacles?

Earlier this week, Callie posted a picture of us with the Furry Hopping Rabbit Bunny, which was the unofficial kick-off to our Easter Weekend Activities.  I've gotten a little grief from some of you about the fact that it LOOKS like I'm crying in the picture, but let me assure you, that's just a combination of bad photography, and the fact that I had something in my eye.  We've all been there right?  Definitely no crying though..

Mmmm.....chocolate bunny....

The scene after the Easter Bunny left our house

Do these ears make me look silly?

Cohen scavenging for Chocolate...surprised?

On Saturday morning, we got up kinda early, but on some mud-worthy clothes, and headed to a local park for an Easter Egg hunt, thinking that we could meet Emma and Eden there and it would be fun.  While I did have fun, it was unfortunately short lived as the hoards of greedy, egg gathering children ended the hunt in 45 seconds while an accident on the Freeway kept Emma and Eden from getting there on time.  It turned out to be ok though, cause we went back to our house and got to play ALL-DAY!

We were supposed to do Easter a la Mimi and Papa that day, but they weren't feeling very good, so it has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.  Frankly, I'm thinking that the Easter Bunny has SO many houses to get to at the traditional times, that he appreciates it when people reschedule.  Yep - I'll stick with that.

A new favorite for Cohen - PUZZLES!

Oh daddy - you're so funny!

After all the hype about the Easter Bunny coming to OUR house, you know that I was pretty excited on Sunday morning, which is why I made sure to wake mommy and daddy up as early as I could to go check out the damage. I mean seriously, doesn't a 6 - 7 foot bunny in a residential setting have to make quite a mess?

Callie and I were both pleasantly surprised with our findings. Not only was the house impeccably clean, but we had tons of chocolate, games, toys, and other presents, all neatly piled into convieniant baskets for our carrying pleasure. Of all the goods we got, I think my new CARS puzzle is probably my favorite so far, while I think Callie is partial to her Princess Pin Wheel.

Chocolate Milk!

HEEEEEYYYYY!!!!

Priorities - toys and candy

After eating enough chocolate to knock down a horse, mommy made us some yummy bunny pancakes before we packed up the Circus that we call our life and headed south to see some family in honor of the holiday.  Anytime you can string together two holiday meals in a matter of hours, you know you're doing good, and that's exactly what we did.  First to Grandma and Grandpa's, and then to Chelsie's house (or Aunt Pam's and Uncle Jeff's, as most people would call it).  Between playing with Molly and my Auntie's at Grandpa's house, and then playing with Chelsie at, well, Chelsie's house, I was EXHAUSTED.  Great Easter once again!
